Kanji first comes to your attention when he appears on the telly being interviewed about the obnoxious local biker gang disturbing the peace, and he goes off on the reporter. His mum owns a textile shop in the shopping district, and his father died when he was very young, causing Kanji to hate hospitals. He likes to put on a tough guy attitude, however he is actually a really caring guy and, weirdly enough, seems to have some sort of old man complex, despite being younger than everyone else on the Investigation Team when he first joins up. Because of his tough guy attitude, his Shadow was an extreme magnification of his hidden inner softie. Once you save him from his other half, he realises that maybe pretending to be a tough guy wasn't really the way to become a "real man," and decides to try and figure out what a "real man" actually is. He is the sixth person to join the Investigation team, and the fifth member of your fighting party.
