Keep . : Shades of Silence : . free!

Return to the second floor of Dhaos' Castle, and enter the second door to your left (south). Continue all the way south for an Elixir and a ?Armor (Gaia Armor), which is better than the normal armour, but not better than the Golden Armor (if you went to Moria). Go back (the other door contains a switch to open the sealed door in the previous area, but there's only a sign in there, which will tell you a "secret," which I'm gonna tell you now anyway). Return to the previous room. See those stairs kinda just chillin in the middle of the room? Well, inspect the wall on their right. Actually, go through the wall. Yes, we're going through walls again. Go up the stairs! Head north, equip Cless with the Dedis Emblem, continue north, and... oh crap! ... well, bye-bye party members... OK, well, here's whatCHA gotta do: you have to find four other Dedis Emblems, then rescue your party members. Which means, Cless is going at this alone. Step off the eeevil teleporter-thingy (right), unequip the emblem, then continue right. Enter the right-most door and approach the chest. Mini-boss battle!

Boss: Hanzo
HP: 17,500
Attacks: Backstab
Weakness: Light

Not too difficult. Use Teleport or Soul Strike if you wish, or just use physicals. Meh.

Get the Dedis Emblem out of the chest, then go back and head south, then into the door on the right. Repeat. Go back, and continue south for a ?Helm (Star Cap) and a ?Book (Book of Seals). Go north and into the door on the right. Fight off the Hanzo and grab the Dedis Emblem. Go north past the first Dedis Emblem area, and all the way north for a ?Staff (Star Rod) and a Star Gloves. Go back, then left, fight off another Hanzo, then continue left. Enter the door to the south (going left again just takes you back to the crossroads. Don't ask how that works, cause I don't know. It just does ^O__o^ ). Going right here takes you back to the teleporter thing. Continue south, and enter the door on the left for the last emblem. Return to the teleporter with no emblems equipped. You'll be transported to the dungeon area (the door to the south and left of the entrance area of this castle).

Map here. ... sorry about the quality. It's a scan from the PSX version's guidebook, so don't blame me (and yes, that's what it actually looks like in the book). You end up where Cless is on the map (Cless: *waves* ^_^ ). Pry the door of your cell open, then head to the south, left and down around that thing, right, and all the way south to find Klarth in that cell. (Klarth: -_- *thinking hard*) Yes, Klarth, we've already figured that out. (by the way, you might have to actually put Klarth in your party manually) Alright, leave the cell, go right, north, right a bit, and all the way north to the cell to find Chester. (Chester: ... ^_^ *just chillin*) Now, go right and up to find Mint. (Mint: *sweatdrop*) Arche's in the cell just to the right of this one. (Arche: <3 ^_^ *ditz*) To leave the dungeon, go back to Chester's cell (left and down), then go left a bit, up, right, pry open the door, and go north. OK, return to the teleporter! This time equip EVERYONE (including the party member you're currently not using in your party) with a Dedis Emblem. Go left, unequip the emblems, and continue left, left and down, and left some more. Inspect the door. Klarth says you need five people to open the door (hence equipping all five emblems just now). Go through, grab the Spy Lens, the Charm Bottle (... the hell you need a Charm Bottle in here for??), the Sage, Holy Bottle, ?Helm (Star Helm), and the ?Weapon (Spinesheath), then continue north.

Here, the castle has a completely different look. Go north, then right and down through the doorway. Take the door on the right to get an Apple Gummy and a Sage. Go back, then right out of this area. Go through the door. ... hrm... looks familiar, don't it? There's no Mystical Rune on the statue this time, and the door is locked, so go left and south. Take the first door on your left for a Mixed Gummy and a Savory. Go back, and through the next door for a Rune Bottle. Go back, and take the south exit to go back to the beginning of this floor. You can go back for more supplies if you need to; just use the maps. Or the teleporter (yes, it actually is faster...).

Go left this time, then left some more, and north, through two doors, to get a Holy Bottle. Go south through the two doors, then south through another door to get to a hallway. Go all the way right, then enter the door to the north for a Life Bottle and a Jade Ring. Go back, and go left and enter the door to the north (the one to the south leads to an empty room). ... is it just me, or does Dhaos' castle look like he grabbed up his old castle, stuck it in the sky, built some new walls around it, and was half-way through remodelling the old sections when we barged in? :op Anyway. There's a Sage in here. Go back, go left, and go through the door for another Holy Bottle. Go back, go left... repetitive-much? Go left some more, until the hallway opens up into a big room. Go north. Ew.

Boss: Seal Eye (2)
HP: 62,000
TP: 50
Attacks: God Breath, Meteor Storm

Use Cless' Soul techniques and Gremlin, and it should be over pretty soon.

Pull the lever, then go down and right, right and up through the first door, and up and right to get back to the entrance of this floor. Remember that locked door we passed earlier? Well, we've just unlocked it. From here go right and down through the doorway, all the way right into the next area, through the door, and north through the now-unlocked door. Go up the stairs to the next floor.

Go forwards and read the inscription on the stone: "Everything begins from the end." Well, basically there are a bunch of switches on this floor, and you have to press them in order, starting from the last one. Alright, let's get to it. Go north through the door, left, south, left, and left some more to get to the last switch, which is first. ^@__@^ Step on it, go right, enter the first door to get a ?Armor (another Gaia Armor), go back, and enter the door to the south to get a Dragon Steak and a Reverse Doll. Exit, and enter the door to the north, step on the switch, go back, and go right. Step on the switch, go north through two doors, step on the switch, go south, go right, go north through the door, hit the switch, go south, south again, and you're back at the start. Go right, hit the switch, and go north through the now-opened door.

Gaaaaah, it's the 6th flooooor... OK, well, there's a boss on this floor, but you don't really need to fight him (two SealEyes again). He's guarding a "secret," which, of course, I'm going to tell you anyway. From the stairs, go forward. Use the mirror in the next room to teleport to a different section of the floor. Go south, then left and up through the door for a Holy Bottle. Go back, left, and north through the door for a Resist Ring. You can go back to the entrance now if you don't want to fight the boss. Skip to the next paragraph if that's what you're doing. Otherwise, go south, then all the way left and up to fight. Behind him is the "secret:" that there's a secret passage next to some stairs. Return to the beginning of this floor and... follow the pattern on the floor right through the wall. ^9__9^ When you see an area above you, go north and get the Lavender. Go south and all the way right, then up to see some stairs. Go left from there (yes, through the walls again) to get an Hourglass, a Sage, an Elixir, a Savory, another Lavender, and a Magic Pouch. Go back to the stairs and go up.

Alright, this is pretty much the last floor that needs a map... OK! Go directly north, then go north, right, and down through the door. Go right and up and right past the door (there's a lever in there, but you DON'T want to hit that...). In the next area is another door. Enter it to get a pair of Elven Boots. Go back, and go right. Use the mirror to teleport to another room (if you didn't listen to me and hit the lever before, the mirror won't be there. You'll have to go back and hit it again. I'm here for a reason, ya know. :op I feel so unappreciated. *flicks you in the head, moves on*). Alright... go south, and... you're back at the beginning. Whee! Go north through the door you went through the first time (duh :op ), Go north and left, then directly south to get a Dragon Steak. Go back, and take the left door this time. Alright, in this area, go south, then go north up the stairs. Onwards, mighty soldiers!

... gaaah, I hate this part. Mega-annoying. Save if you need to, then go north. This next area is gonna get extremely repetitive really really fast. Just follow the path around, up the stairs, around, up the stairs, around, up the stairs, arou... oh, you get the picture. There's like, five floors of the going-around-ness, but with different stairs. I guess it's so we don't fall over and die. Death by repetition. ^x__o^

OK! Fiery staircase thingy! ... wait, that's not good, is it? Ah well. Go up this immensely long staircase, then SAVE! Go north, and hello Dhaos!

Boss: Dhaos
HP: 2,435/56,000
TP: 1,000
Attacks: Para-Triangle (dizzyness), Dhaos Corridor (all-party within range), Dhaos Laser (all-party within range), Delay, Tetra Assault, Tetra Spell (three low-level spells at once, different party members), Meteor Storm

Don't even waste your TP. He's only got 2,435 HP anyway. Just use Gremlin/Origin or Meteor Storm once, and he's gone.

... immortal, huh? ... AIEE! the room is disappearing! ... erm... if we're in outer space... wouldn't we, you know, implode? *sweatdrop* ... and wow, he got real ugly real fast... ^.__.^

Boss: NeoDhaos/DhaosArm
HP: NeoDhaos: 64,765, DhaosArm: 40,765
TP: NeoDhaos: 3,765, DhaosArm: 1,765
Attacks: Hallation (blue screen), Acid Rain, Oscillation (throws out a ball of energy and knocks you around and into the arm), Chaos (like HellGem), Last Ray (all party members on screen), Meteor Storm

... this fight isn't so much hard as it is annoying. When the screen turns blue (augh, blue screen of DEATH! ... :oD ), you can't attack him, but he can attack you. ... coward. Also, the damn arm revives the head and also casts Cure, so... blah. Use your Chrono Glasses if you must, but you don't actually have to use em. His attacks don't do too much damage, either, even if your party members are still in the 80's (I beat him the first time around with Cless at lv. 86, Mint and Klarth at 82, and Arche at 79). Oh, and have Arche in your party, so things go a bit faster. You should probably have her equipped with a Mystical Rune, since she's a lot slower at casting spells than Klarth and Mint. You'll also want Cless up in front in the Form menu, with everybody else bunched at the back, just so Chaos or any other of Dhaos' attacks don't interrupt your party members' spell-casting. Teleport or Soul Strike are good techs for Cless to use here.

Anyway. At the start of the battle, just walk up to him and wait. Make sure you're close enough so that you can hit the head with Soul Strike/Teleport/Soul Wave (if that's what you've got), but you're out of the arm's reach. Chances are that Teleport or Soul Strike will hit both the head and the arm at the same time (Soul Wave's updraft does 0 damage on the arm). Also, the Golden Armor from Lower Moria absorbs Last Ray. Even with Mystical Runes equipped, Klarth and Arche won't get a lot of spells in before Dhaos does Hallation, so Cless is going to be doing most of the work. I hope you saved up on those TP-restoring gummies. The arm is what does Hallation, so if you can get rid of that stupid thing, you've got it made.

Hey, look, the room's back. Whee. Now, enjoy your ending! ^~___~^ (and yes, there's some stuff after the credits)
